Position Summary:

Cloud Product Manager
This role is accountable for developing, launching and life cycle management of SaaS Application (in IOT space) and enabling Platforms for Rockwell Automation Information Software business. The role ensures that the right portfolio of products is developed, available for our customers and continuously improved. Typical activities include requirement capture, vendor selection, development, go-to-market and life cycle management. The Product Manager works closely with Engineering teams, Other Product teams, Sales and Consulting team and marketing Team, Finance team and others as appropriate on regular basis to manage all product aspects. This role will focus initially on managing an under development SaaS offering (due for launch) and then progress with new SaaS applications and enabling platforms

What you will do:

  • Develops, launches and maintains a portfolio of IoT products/Applications to ensure revenue growth

  • Define and execute the product strategy for SaaS Application & Platforms and evangelize that vision within the organization

  • Delivers a deep understanding of market need from interaction with customers, analysts and customer facing teams within Rockwell

  • Creates and maintains roadmap for the products within the role's portfolio

  • Distill business requirements ( from High Level objective to actionable requirements) to define scope and functionality of product offering and work with a team of engineers to design creative technical solutions to solve business problems

  • Drive execution of product development through the complete define / build / test / launch / review / sunset life-cycle ensuring deliverables meet the desired business objectives

  • Conduct third-party product evaluation and lead integration when necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years Product  Management experience (preferably IOT, SaaS application on cloud for Manufacturing users)

  • Knowledge of Platform Services on Azure, IOT Protocols and technologies, IOT, Device Gateways, and Device to Cloud Communication, PLC etc.

  • Good Knowledge of Technologies and approaches to move data from Shop Floor to Cloud, Analytics on Edge and Cloud

  • Technical understanding (experience with Cloud Infrastructure (Azure), Platform Services is an advantage, IOT Workflows and need )

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English

  • Understand what matters for a manufacturing customers  

  • Strong project management skill-set and mindset, able to manage teams and deliverables under tight time pressure.

  • Organized approach to manage multiple evolving things at times and assign right priority to business success

  • Ability to work in an environment where priorities and tasks may change quickly

  • Good  software programming skill sufficient to manage a development team focusing on  modern cloud based application and smart Customers

  • Good knowledge of Manufacturing Process and its improvement KPI's ( OEE etc) , and Manufacturing  Automation Devices and Equipment,  Rockwell Automation Ecosystem

  • Must: Desire to learn as per needs of role

  • Prefer: Understanding of Rockwell PLC, and other devices. 

Knowledge of below will help in success

  • Azure and its Platform Services

  • Web base UI frameworks and its considerations

  • Protocol for data transfer ( OPC, MQTT, Ethernet IP etc)

  • Big Data approach to data management ( Hadoop, Spark, etc)

  • Self Service Visualization and Analytics needs

  • Pricing Strategy in IOT space
